Artist Statement
I work with textiles, yarn, metal, wood and other found objects, bringing them together through weaving and layering. My practice began in textile design, but over time I became interested in pushing textiles beyond their traditional boundaries and combining them with materials that feel unexpected alongside fabric.
Many of my works take the form of imagined landscapes, dreamscapes, and fragments of places that feel both familiar and unfamiliar. I am interested in creating works that feel like traces of larger worlds, objects that hint at a place or memory without revealing complete picture.
The contrast between soft textiles and rigid materials is central to my practice. Through experimentation and layering, I create textured compositions where different materials coexist, gradually forming new structures, surfaces, and imagined environments.
