Collection : Garfield x Papa Don’t Preach

This project began with a simple thought: what new world could we place Garfield in? While exploring ideas, we imagined him not as the usual Monday hating cat but as an Indian king from an old miniature painting.

Once that clicked, the visual universe started building itself. I designed prints inspired by royal portraiture with paisleys, checks, and Indian textures that felt nostalgic yet playful. The colours followed the same story with violets, greens, and pinks softened by a vintage warmth.

To balance this traditional mood, the silhouettes stayed Western which gave the collection a fresh and unexpected twist. From creating the prints and graphics to overseeing the sampling, this project felt like crafting a fun crossover where pop culture meets royal India and Garfield finds a completely new identity.
